I'm a poet / essayist / memoirist/
journalist (in the sense of keeping a journal, not of working for a newspaper) and it occurred to me that a blog fits in with all that. If Montaigne, father of the essay, were alive today, he'd keep a blog. This is my self-portrait as frustrated artist who can't believe she's not famous yet. (And because it's part of my artistic endeavor, the whole damn thing is copyrighted. All rights reserved.)

Carnival of Feminists XIII

The Thirteenth Carnival of Feminists is up at I See Invisible People. Check it out--there are many great posts to be read. I was especially impressed by this discussion of how Plan B works, from Pharyngula.

The Fourteenth Carnival of Feminists will be held on May 3 on The Women's Autonomy and Sexual Sovereignty Movement. There's a handy on-line form that lets you submit a post; deadline is a couple of days before that. (No date was specified.)

The Fifteenth Carnival of Feminists will be right here on Self-Portrait as on May 17. I'm trying to come up with possible (optional) themes.... Feminism and humor? Feminism and religion? We'll see.
